A day at the studio

What a shift looks like

  1. Before 4pm: set up

Laptops on, kits out, and a look at who is coming in and which level they are on.

  2. 4pm to 7pm: ninjas drop in

Sit beside a ninja, ask the right question, and let them find the fix themselves.

  3. Saturdays: programs

Junior, Robotics, AI and VR sessions, each with its own plan for the hour.

  4. School breaks: camps

Full days from 9am to 3pm, building toward something campers take home.

Before you ask

Common questions

Do I need teaching experience?

No. Every new sensei is trained on our curriculum and on how we run a session, and shadows our team, before teaching a ninja on their own.

How much coding do I need to know?

You should already be confident writing code, in JavaScript, Python or a similar language. We train you on our curriculum, belt by belt, before you teach it.

How old do I need to be?

16 or older. Many of our senseis are high school and college students.

How many hours a week is it?

A shift is 3 to 5 hours. We build the week around the days and hours you are free.

Can I work only during camps?

Yes. The Camp Sensei role is for school breaks only.

How do I apply?

Email your resume and the hours you are free to westfriscotx@codeninjas.com with "Sensei application" in the subject line.
